Illawarra Region

Illawarra means “five islands” in the local Aboriginal language. It is also the name of a beautiful, coastal region of New South Wales in Southeastern Australia. Known for its pristine coastline, beautiful beaches, secluded bush, quaint towns, and towering cliffs. Driving through this region evokes images of the American Pacific Northwest or New England, only with warmer weather. Illawarra features dozens of seaside and bush towns that just cannot be missed!
