Michigan may be well known for its cities as well as its Midwestern charm. But far from the turn-of-the-century towers of Grand Rapids and the automobile factories in Detroit, you’ll find a piece of paradise sandwiched by two of the Great Lakes and coniferous forests, complimented by a slice of Americana. The Upper Peninsula may not have huge cities but its lakefront vista allows you to escape to the Great Outdoors, without having to get lost off the beaten trail! And don’t forget to pack your bathing suit and SUV!
