E-I-E-I-O Down Under

“Git along little doggies, er, I mean, sheep!”

If Old MacDonald had a farm in Australia, E-I-E-I-O, it would be at the Warrook Cattle Farm and Homestead in the town of Monomeith in the Victorian countryside, E-I-E-I-O!  With a “baa-baa” here, and a “moo-moo” there, here a “baa”, there a “moo”, and everywhere are kangaroos!

A rather quaint place, that thankfully, doesn’t have much of a touristy feel, maybe because there aren’t that many people there, but maybe that is a good thing.  Here, you can get a feel for the Australian farmland and fauna.  From sampling fine wines from the nearby YarraValley, getting your chance to milk a cow, learn how to shear a sheep, crack a whip, and get up close with some real-life kangaroos!  Even if you’re not a wine connoisseur or a country bumpkin, there is plenty of fun to be had in this bushland oasis, just an hour from Melbourne.  Oh, by the way, did I mention that this farm has kangaroos?  Why are you still reading this?  Kangaroos!
